Plumbing - Before the Storm

 

• Insulate exposed pipes (basements, crawlspaces, garages, & exterior walls)

• Disconnect and drain outdoor hoses

• Shut off exterior water valves if possible

• Locate and test your main water shut off valve

• Set your thermostat to at least 55°F, even if you’re away

• Seal drafts around doors and windows

• Drain your sprinkler or irrigation systems if not winterized
